El pasado 6 de Abril, en presencia del Ministro del Interior y el Director de la Policía, se hizo entrega de múltiples bodycams que servirán para la Policía de Turismo en el departamento de Bolivar.
NewSat has completed deliveries of this technology in the cities of Cartagena, Santa Marta, San Andres and Providencia. The bodycams will continuously record the activities of the officers to increase both citizen safety and their own, identify criminals and prevent abuse of authority. In addition, since the cameras cannot be manipulated, the integrity of the digital evidence will be ensured so that the videos can be used in legal proceedings.
The use of this technology will seek to increase the sense of accountability of officers and citizens, ultimately restoring credibility to the institution.
